With completely new Castlevania games not on the immediate horizon and it looking very likely it will be, at best, a long time until there will be, Vaniacs can get their whippin' fix from the substitutes.

I have not yet sank my teeth into Bloostained as I figure that as creations of IGA, they deserve more scrutiny than other 'Vanialikes' available. Before that, there is this game I've been meaning to play. Wallachia: Reign Of Dracula.

It does not hide being strongly influenced by Castlevania and even the illustrations resemble Ayami Kojima's style. Metacritic appears to be leaning towards favorable reviews.

Any "CloseVanias" you've been enjoying and would recommend?
