Anyone else knew this? I remember playing this as a kid. At the time I didn't know of things like hacks, so for a while I thought it was an actual SMB4 (but a really, really weird one :hehe:).
I managed to play a rom of Armadillo, not a bad game and no reason for it not to have come out of Japan to overseas market. Another one that didn't see the light of day out of Japan for a long time was Bio Miracle Boukette Upa for the Famicom and FDS. It did see pirated versions as Baby Mario according to many stories I've heard, but it fits better as Upa's game and not a Mario title (Howard Lincoln rejected Upa coming to the US for some stupid ass reason).
Initially, I thought that was Bio Force Ape's Japanes title. Then I remembered it was never released, so that's unlikely. I checked BMBU out in Youtube and it has great music 8)
Indeed it does, for the Wii VC release, they used the FDS version, which IMO is better sounding than it's cart counterpart.
Some years and years ago I was really into playing game hacks. I tried lots of nes & snes hacks, but found only few of them enjoyable. Most game hacks are glitchy or just too hard. I even remember one Super Metroid hack that was designed to be impossible to beat without emulator's quicksaving. :o
Anyway, if my memory serves me well, I really enjoyed Super Demo World: The Legend Continues (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP-FUUaE2akl). If anyone's interested, the hack can be found HERE (http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/11/). 8)

I'll skip the "In Soviet Russia" jokes :D
Not much to say about; it's pretty much Sonic with a Mario sprite and crappier controls.
